LUXURY VILLA BUTLER / GUEST EXPERIENCE HOST

Job Type: Live-in accommodation available

We are looking for an experienced, polished and service-oriented Butler / Guest Experience Host  to join a high-end private holiday villa in Cape Town.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that every guest receives a warm, seamless and exceptional luxury experience  from arrival to departure.

Duties & Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival

• Assist guests with luggage and settling into the villa

• Provide a personalised and attentive guest experience

• Assist guests with restaurant reservations, transfers, drivers, activities and other bookings

• Prepare and serve breakfast daily

• Prepare and serve drinks and refreshments

• Set, style and decorate tables for breakfast, lunch, dinner and special occasions

• Ensure the villa is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation

• Check that bedrooms and bathrooms are properly prepared and presented before and during guest stays

• Liaise with housekeeping and other service providers where required

• Regularly check the villa and ensure that everything is in order

• Assist with basic security and ensure the property is secure, particularly when guests are not present

• Anticipate guest needs and proactively resolve any issues

• Handle guest requests discreetly and professionally

• Help create a memorable, personalised and luxurious stay for every guest

Desired Experience & Qualification

REQUIREMENTS

• South African citizen or valid South African working permit

• Previous experience in high-end hospitality , such as luxury hotels, private villas, lodges, restaurants or premium guest services

• Experience as a host, waiter/waitress or guest relations professional  in an upmarket environment

• Previous butler experience or a hospitality/butler qualification is advantageous but not essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional, well-presented and confident manner

• Strong attention to detail

• Naturally warm, discreet and service-oriented

• Able to anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile

• Able to work independently and take responsibility for the overall guest experience

• Good, verifiable references are essential

• Clean criminal record

• Flexible and willing to work around guest requirements, including weekends and public holidays

• Must be able to stay overnight at the villa when guests are staying , as required

• Accommodation is provided on site
