Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Loss Prevention and Compliance Officer to assist in protecting company assets, minimizing operational losses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and identifying potential risks within the business.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate with exceptional attention to detail and, preferably, experience within supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or a related environment .
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and identify potential risks, losses, theft, fraud, and operational irregularities.
Conduct regular compliance and operational checks to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed.
Investigate discrepancies, incidents, stock losses, and other irregularities.
Conduct audits and inspections across relevant operational areas.
Review stock movements, documentation, transactions, and processes to identify discrepancies or potential losses.
Assist with the development and implementation of loss prevention measures.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant operational requirements.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, findings, and corrective actions.
Identify trends and recurring issues and recommend preventative measures.
Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and other departments to address compliance and loss-related concerns.
Assist with internal investigations and prepare detailed reports on findings.
Monitor adherence to established controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
Follow up on corrective actions to ensure identified risks and compliance issues are resolved.
Prepare regular loss prevention and compliance reports for management.
Maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and investigations.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric.
Relevant Bachelor's degree or Diploma.
Suitable qualifications may include Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Risk Management, Compliance, Business Management, or a related field.
Graduate-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, stock control, or a related environment will be advantageous.
Strong computer literacy, including MS Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and investigative abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail.
