LOGISTICS, SPARES AND PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Introduction

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic  Logistics, Spares and Procurement Manager  to lead our  Parts and Logistics  department. Reporting directly to the COO with a strategic line to the CEO, you will hold a pivotal leadership position responsible for ensuring complete continuity of our production lines. Duties & Responsibilities

• Procurement & Cost Control:   Source and buy parts using a strict 3-quote process to maintain a database of at least 3 alternative suppliers per machine component , maximizing cost savings.

• Stores & Tool Management:  Oversee the inventory levels, safe storage, maintenance and correct employee allocation of tools, consumables, and PPE.

• Client & Workshop Parts Control:  Catalog all incoming parts, manage client-owned repair stock, and update workshop tracking sheets daily and general stores records weekly to ensure rapid turnaround times.

• Business Development:  Forecast stock-building for critical parts and scale the internal/external spares business to meet measurable growth targets

• Asset & Data Management :  Maintain up-to-dat tracking and licensing for all physicall company assets to ensure full compliance and eliminate regulatory fines.

• Sage ERP & Project Planning :  Use Sage software to process inventory, manage Bills of Materials (BOM), track project progress across departments and ensure all Purchase Orders (POs) are raised correctly

• Technically Databade Creation:  Create and maintain a detailed database of machine parts for all rebuilds and proprietary parts, updating part numbers and sourcing vetted local suppliers.

• Health and Safety Compliance (HSE)

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric (Grade 12)

• National Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Procurement. (Health & Safety certifications are a strong advantage).

• 3 to 5 years in a technical procurement, stores, or logistics management role

• Background in heavy industry ( Mining Services, Engineering Workshops or heavy machinery rebuilds).

• Proven success managing high-volume parts inventory with targets exceeding R1M monthly

• Advanced proficiency in Sage ERP software to manage stock and Bills of Materials (BOM) alongside intermediate MS Excel skills.

• Strong background in 3-quote vendor sourcing, technical parts database management, and asset compliance

• Deep knowledge of occupational health frameworks.
