- The Logistics Analyst is responsible for the management of import and export stock procurement planning and the reduction of freight cost in relation to sales.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary function include:
- Reducing freight costs annually in line with KPIs
- Tracking and tracing of physical shipments end to end,.and includes updating reporting of stock ETA.
- Lodge Claims and resolve discrepancies through the KDE portal.
- Managing Insurance Claims process through the Global Marine Insurance Policy
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve Logistics processes.
- Ensure relevant export documentation is available
- Organizing and maintaining Shipment documentation supporting order fulfilment, distribution means and contractual obligations.
- Initiating overcharge/undercharge freight bill claims with carriers and tracks reconciliation of the same per rate card
- Consolidation of KDE payments
- Relationship management of 3PL
- Assist Customer Services and Support Department with logistics planning for large tender roll out
- Placing stock replenishment orders on SAP o Including procurement of Third-Party Suppliers
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within similar Logistics position
- SAP R3 Sales and Distribution
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS ABD EDUCATION
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management or similar/relevant qualification
- Matric or equivalent qualification
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge and understanding of general practices, principles and procedures of Logistics / Supply Chain
- Excellent knowledge of English language – verbal and written
- Intermediate level experience with MS Office applications – Outlook, Word and Excel
