ROLE PURPOSE

To manage and coordinate daily transport operations, including route planning, scheduling, fleet utilization and driver management, while maintaining efficient operations and delivering reliable service to clients

MAIN OUTPUTS

Plan, optimise and oversee daily transport routes to support maximum efficiency and punctuality
Manage and coordinate transport schedules to ensure smooth daily operations
Manage, motivate and coordinate a team of drivers and operational staff
Use Microsoft Excel to track schedules, analyse route performance, manage operational data and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Coordinate vehicle maintenance and monitor compliance with applicable safety requirements
Regularly Monitor fleet utilisation and vehicle availability
Resolve operational challenges promptly to minimise service disruptions
Monitor transport operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality
Maintain accurate operational records and transport data
Monitor service delivery and address operational issues that may impact on customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Transport Management, Logistics or Operations Management.
Matric Senior Certificate
Valid Driver's License
1-3 years' experience in route planning, scheduling and operational coordination.
Transport scheduling and coordination. Vehicle maintenance and safety compliance monitoring.
