PURPOSE To fulfil the mandate of the NGB through monitoring, driving compliance and implementation of business operations, according to applicable regulatory requirements and operating procedures. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Contract Management Manage central repository of all contracts in which all original copies of the contracts are filed in line with the NGB’s file plan Must register all contracts on the NGB’s contract register and update it monthly. Monitor the contract period and ensure that there is no performance of service outside the contract period. Advise the Contract owner in advance upon realization that the contract is nearing expiry. Provide Legal Advisory Support to Supply Chain Management Provide legal advice to supply chain adjudication committees. Review and vet procurement-related legal documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and policies. Advise on legal risks arising from procurement processes. Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with supply chain management decisions Attend supply chain adjudication committees. Review and update the compliance matrix Ensure NGB compliance with policies, procedure, regulations, statutory obligations and other legislations e.g. PFMA, B-BBEE Act. Ensure all compliance reviews/reports are performed timely and appropriately documented. Manage the compendium of policies Ensure that the NGB has updated policies and procedures in place. Ensure that policies and procedures are reviewed timeously in order to enhance controls. Records Management Ensure that records management is performed in accordance with NGB approved file plan and electronic document management. Provides a broad information service to employees within the National Gambling Board. Responsible for the implementation of the Records Management strategy. Responsible for the development of standard operating procedures in Records management. Ensures accessibility of documentation (with version tracking). Provides training to employees responsible for capturing of information on the Sharepoint system. Provide training to users (officials) on the file plan. Analyses the record-keeping needs of the National Gambling Board. The successful applicants’ remuneration package will be in terms of the NGB Remuneration Policy. The National Gambling Board subscribes to the principles of Employment Equity. The appointee will be required to sign a performance agreement within one (1) month of joining the organisation and this position is subject to a twelve (12) months’ probation period.
