- To render administrative and legal support and assistance to the Secretariat of the Financial Services Tribunal and Senior Legal Assistants.
Key Performance Areas
- Provide administrative support and basic legal support and assistance under supervision to the Financial Services Tribunal in accordance with the functions of the Financial Services Tribunal set out in Chapter 15 of the Financial Sector Regulation Act 9 of 2017.
- Prepare proper Tribunal records and ensure that such records are properly indexed and paginated.
- Assist in ensuring that matters are properly placed before the Financial Services Tribunal.
- Manage and maintain a proper filing system, both manually and electronically, regarding the Financial Services Tribunal matters.
- Help the Secretariat and Senior Legal Assistants with the secretarial services of the Financial Services Tribunal.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls relating the tribunal processes and procedures, take comprehensive messages and referring matters to the Secretariat or Senior Legal Assistants.
- Under supervision and general direction, perform various legal, confidential and administrative functions.
- Prepare correspondence requiring knowledge of the Tribunal rules and requirements and processes and the mandate and functions of the Financial Services Tribunal..
- Assist the Secretariat with the preparation of documents relating to High Court Review applications received and dealt with by the Financial Services Tribunal

- The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Good interpersonal and organisational; office administration; communications both verbal and written skills; highly reliable and trustworthy person, who respects confidentiality. The candidate must be able to work in a team and under pressurised environment.
Requirements
- A Matric Certificate, an LLB degree or a four-year legal qualification plus 2 - 5 years' experience in a legal environment. The candidate must have advanced MS Products knowledge Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
