LECTURER
The incumbent will be responsible for
- Lecturing in Life Orientation qualifications;
- Lecturing on the methodologies of Life Orientation and Physical Education;
- Providing postgraduate supervision;
- Assisting with the assessment of Work Integrated Learning;
- Conducting research in the focus areas of the Department.
SENIOR LECTURER
- Lecturing in Life Orientation qualifications;
- Lecturing on the methodologies of Life Orientation and Physical Education;
- Providing postgraduate supervision;
- Assisting with the assessment of Work Integrated Learning;
- Conducting research in the focus areas of the Department;
- Providing leadership in Life Orientation Education.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
LECTURER
- Master's degree in Life Orientation or a related appropriate focus field;
- A recognised teaching qualification;
- 1 year of experience in teaching Life Orientation;
- Actively working towards publications, following completion of the Master's qualification;
- Experience in community engagement, Work-Integrated Learning or service-learning project related to Education within the last 5 years;
- Experience in Academic Administration.
SENIOR LECTURER
- Doctoral degree in Life Orientation or a related appropriate focus field;
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in higher education;
- Involvement in curriculum development and innovation;
- At least six research outputs journal articles and/or book chapters, including at least four articles published in accredited national and international journals.;
- Evidence of at least 3 supervised students or co-supervised to completion at Master's and/or Doctoral level;
- At least 2 conference papers delivered at national or international conferences;
- Experience in community engagement, Work-Integrated Learning or service-learning project related to Education within the last 5 years;
- Experience in Academic Administration.

- Formative and summative assessment experience;
- Academic administration experience;
- Community engagement experience;
- Value-based and value-driven person who can set a professional example to students;
- Computer literacy.
SENIOR LECTURER

- Evidence of initiating and supervising research at the postgraduate level;
- Evidence of initiating a research project;
- Evidence of working in a community of scholars;
- Appropriate language and communication skills in English;
- Formative and summative assessment experience;
- Evidence of leadership in academic administration;
- Community engagement experience;
- Value-based and value-driven person who can set a professional example to students;
- Computer literacy.

- Ability to coordinate or manage programme delivery;
- Evidence of postgraduate supervision;
- Evidence of research activity over the past two years;
- Proficiency in the educational application of artificial intelligence and digital learning technologies;
- Evidence of community engagement.
SENIOR LECTURER
- Ability to coordinate or manage programme delivery;
- Evidence of leadership in postgraduate supervision;
- Evidence of leading a research project over the past two years;
- Evidence of national or international partnerships;
- Proficiency in the educational application of artificial intelligence and digital learning technologies;
- Evidence of community engagement.
