Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A Master's degree in Technology Education.
  • A relevant teaching qualification.
  • Technology or an equivalent subject as a major subject at undergraduate level, which includes woodwork, mechanics and the engineering design process.
  • Two 2 years' relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level or five 5 years' relevant teaching experience at school level
  • Fluent in Afrikaans Please note that the position is based at the Wellington Campus where tuition is in Afrikaans. Candidates must be able to teach in Afrikaans.

  • A relevant doctoral degree

  • Specialised knowledge of methodologies of teaching Technology
  • Curriculum development and other learning materials development
  • Supervising students on teaching practice

  • Competence in the pedagogy of technology integration in learning, teaching, and assessment
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans BEd tuition in Wellington is through Afrikaans
  • Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
