- Facilitate learning and teaching of Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Labour Relations and Human Resources within a corporate or Academic
- Conduct and publish research in accredited journals
- Supervise postgraduate students honours and master's
- Co-ordinate postgraduate programmes
- Provide academic administration
- Work closely with the other members of the Department of Industrial and Organisational Psychology as well as the School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resources
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of theory and application in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Labour Relations and Human Resources
- To facilitate training within industry/corporate world or learning and teaching at under- and postgraduate levels
- To plan, conduct, present and publish research
- To supervise postgraduate students
- To administer and co-ordinate modules involving large numbers of students
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for appointment to the lecturing post, candidates must:
- Be in possession of a master's degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology.
- Be professionally registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Industrial Psychologist.
- Have two years relevant experience in facilitating training within industry/corporate world or lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Published journal articles in accredited journals and book chapters.
- Have presented research findings at conferences.
- Have a track record of successful research supervision of postgraduate students.
