- This position is intended to assist the department in achieving its academic objectives, which include teaching in accordance with a predetermined curriculum, conducting research and innovation, participating in community engagement, as well as developing and designing curricula.
- The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of Retail Business Management at the District Six campus.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience Minimum requirements:
- Master's degree in Retail Business Management &/or Business Management
- An underpinning qualification in Business Management
- At least two years fulltime of lecturing experience in a higher education environment
RECOMMENDED
- Knowledge of the higher education landscape in South Africa
- Broad knowledge of the discipline of retail business management
- Recommend having business and industry exposure in a managerial capacity
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
- Lecturing full-time and part-time students in the department of Retail Business Management.
- Contributing towards academic initiatives undertaken by the department
- Academic and assessment administration
- Curriculum development and quality assurance
- Building links with industry and relevant stakeholders
- Conducting research and supervising postgraduate students.
