Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A Master's degree relevant to Human Movement/Physical Education and Life Skills Education
  • A relevant teaching qualification preferably at primary school level
  • Human Movement Physical Education and Life Skills or an equivalent subject as a major subject at the undergraduate level
  • Two 2 years relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level or five 5 years' relevant teaching experience at the Intermediate Phase level
  • Fluent in Afrikaans

RECOMMMENDATIONS

  • A relevant doctoral degree
  • Evidence of research outputs and supervision
  • A coaching certificate in swimming and netball

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

  • Teaching Human Movement/Physical Education and Life Skills and the relevant methodologies in the Foundation and Intermediate Phases, which includes teaching swimming, netball, gymnastics, and dance.
