Job Description: The Department of Emergency Medical Care, within the Faculty of Sciences on the Doornfontein Campus, currently offers a range of emergency medical care and rescue qualifications. The successful incumbent would be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of teaching, learning and assessment activities for the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Simulation, including supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research. Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating teaching, learning and assessment activities for students enrolled for the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Simulation.
  • Marketing and Enrolment Management of the PG Dip in Clinical Simulation.
  • Development and refinement of online course materials.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • A Masters’ Degree (NQF 9) in the Health Sciences field or equivalent.
  • Registration as a Health Care Professional with the HPCSA, SANC or AHPCSA.
  • Three (3) years’ experience at a higher education institution in the management of simulation teaching and learning.
  • Experience in the facilitation of online learning experiences using learner management systems.
  • A Postgraduate qualification in Adult Education, Clinical Teaching or Simulation learning.
  • Code B driver’s license.

Recommendations

  • Knowledge of faculty and academic policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Expertise in relevant approaches and models, analytical techniques, and methods.
  • Experience with online and/or remote learning platforms.

  • Enthusiastic, tenacious, and have a passion for clinical work and teaching.
