Purpose The Learning and Development Specialist is to design, coordinate, implement and evaluate learning and development initiatives that build organisational capability, support employee growth and strengthen business performance. The role is responsible for partnering with leaders, managers and employees to identify learning needs, deliver fit-for-purpose development solutions, support statutory and internal training requirements, maintain accurate learning records and ensure alignment with organisational development priorities, company values, compliance requirements and people strategy objectives Responsibilities Partner with leaders and managers to identify learning needs, capability gaps and development priorities. Design, coordinate and implement learning programmes, workshops, learning pathways and development interventions. Support the Workplace Skills Plan, Annual Training Plan and related statutory skills development requirements. Coordinate mandatory, compliance, technical, leadership, behavioural, onboarding and functional learning initiatives. Source and manage external training providers to ensure learning solutions are relevant and fit for purpose. Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers, evaluation feedback and supporting documentation. Monitor learner participation, completion rates and learning impact. Support learnerships, internships, apprenticeships, bursaries and other structured development programmes. Guide managers and employees on learning opportunities and development planning. Facilitate selected learning sessions, workshops and onboarding interventions. Support skills development reporting, SETA submissions and training evidence requirements. Continuously look for ways to improve our learning processes, materials, systems and overall learner experience.
