Start free — we apply for you →Role Qualification Requirements To be considered for this opportunity, you will have completed one of the relevant BSc Honours Degree in either Genetics/ Human Genetics/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Cell Biology/ Haematology or Forensic Genetics discipline that provides a strong foundation in laboratory science and research principles. You will demonstrate a passion for science, a willingness to learn and a commitment to developing the professional and technical capabilities required to succeed within a dynamic laboratory environment. While previous laboratory experience may be advantageous, this role is designed for individuals who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting and build their professional capability. Exposure to basic laboratory techniques through academic study, research projects or practical training will enable you to adapt quickly to the laboratory environment and contribute effectively to daily operations. You are motivated by learning opportunities and are committed to developing both your technical expertise and professional skills through mentorship, collaboration and hands-on experience. Skill Requirements You possess strong analytical thinking and a keen attention to detail, enabling you to approach scientific work with accuracy and care. Your computer literacy allows you to work effectively with laboratory systems, documentation and data management tools, while your communication skills enable you to engage professionally with colleagues and stakeholders. You have a solid understanding of scientific principles and are eager to expand your knowledge through practical application. Your ability to follow procedures, maintain quality standards and work responsibly with laboratory equipment and specimens supports a safe and effective laboratory environment. You are naturally curious, organised and proactive, with a willingness to learn from others and embrace new challenges.
