Duties & Responsibilities

We're Hiring | Lead .NET Developer Cape Town | Oniste  | Contract Opportunity Are you a passionate Lead .NET Developer who thrives on building scalable, enterprise-grade applications and leading high-performing development teams? We're looking for a technical leader to join one of South Africa's largest retail technology environments, where you'll help deliver innovative solutions that support millions of customers every day. What you'll be doing:

• Lead the design and development of enterprise .NET applications.
• Build scalable APIs, microservices and cloud-native solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of talented developers.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews and best practices.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Product Owners.
• Deliver high-quality solutions within Agile delivery teams.

We're looking for

• 8+ years' software development experience.
• 5+ years' experience with Microsoft .NET / .NET Core / .NET 8.
• Strong C# and ASP.NET Core development experience.
• REST API and Microservices expertise.
• SQL Server and Entity Framework Core experience.
• Azure Cloud development (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, API Management).
• Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Experience leading development teams and mentoring developers.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns and secure coding practices.

Advantageous

• Docker & Kubernetes (AKS)
• Event-Driven Architecture
• React or Angular
• Retail industry experience
