- Lead and develop a high-performing mechanical design team
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to design engineers
- Manage engineering resources and allocate tasks according to project priorities
- Interface with customers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver engineering solutions
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and project requirements
- Manage project schedules and ensure key milestones are achieved
- Lead internal and external design reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
- Develop and review 3D models, engineering drawings, and associated design documentation
- Support product development activities from concept through to production
- Maintain engineering data and documentation within relevant management systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to design quality, project delivery, and team performance
- Contribute to engineering governance, resource planning, and technical decision-making processes
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 15 years' post-graduate engineering design experience
- Strong background in product design and engineering development
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering or design teams
- Strong project management and resource planning capabilities
- Experience conducting design reviews and ensuring compliance with engineering standards
- Proficiency in CAD design, including 3D modelling and 2D engineering drawings
- Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience leveraging digital engineering tools to improve design quality, data management, and project execution
- Willingness to travel internationally when required
Qualification
- BEng / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
