Start free — we apply for you →- An exciting opportunity for a talented, creative and technically strong Lead Interior Designer to join an established design company specialising in hospitality and lodge projects, with operations based in Africa.
- The successful candidate will lead interior design projects from concept through to installation and handover, working closely with the Creative Directors.
Key Requirements
- Excellent technical CAD skills – plans, elevations, sections, joinery detailing and construction documentation
- Strong SketchUp proficiency
- Exceptional creative flair, design judgement and an eye for furniture, lighting, finishes, fabrics and materials
- Ability to develop mood boards, design concepts and professional presentations
- Strong project coordination, sourcing and procurement skills
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Revit experience advantageous, but not essential
Key Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects from concept to completion
- Develop layouts, detailed drawings, specifications and material selections
- Coordinate suppliers, procurement, budgets and project timelines
- Oversee design documentation, installations and final handovers
- Coordinate and review work undertaken by supporting designers
Important: Candidates must be willing to travel to African neighbours including Botswana and other project locations, including remote lodge sites when required.
