We are seeking a Lead Engineer specialising in the systems used to protect, control and monitor High Voltage substations.
Age: No 28-year age restriction – candidates above 30 may be considered
Key Responsibilities
Lead HV secondary-system engineering and design.
Work with protection systems.
Work with relay protection.
Design protection and control systems.
Work with protection and control panels.
Work with control and monitoring systems.
Work with substation automation.
Develop and review schematics.
Perform engineering calculations.
Develop technical specifications.
Work with engineering design tools.
Requirements
Preferably native Afrikaans-speaking or able to communicate fluently/conversationally in Afrikaans.
Good English communication skills.
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or related field.
Approximately 7+ years complex HV secondary-system design experience.
Strong protection and control experience.
Significant substation secondary-system experience.
Experience with engineering calculations and technical specifications.
EPLAN/L-CAD or similar engineering-tool experience.
Willing to relocate internationally.
