The Lead Engineer – High Voltage Primary Systems will specialise in the physical primary equipment and design of High Voltage substations.
Age: No 28-year age restriction – candidates above 30 may be considered
Key Responsibilities
Lead HV primary engineering and design.
Work with substation layouts.
Develop equipment specifications.
Work with physical HV equipment.
Work with HV cables and overhead connections.
Work with earthing/grounding.
Provide engineering input on primary substation infrastructure.
Requirements
Preferably native Afrikaans-speaking or able to communicate fluently/conversationally in Afrikaans.
Good English communication skills.
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Engineering or related field.
Approximately 7+ years relevant HV engineering/design experience.
Strong primary plant/substation design experience.
Experience with physical HV equipment.
Willing to relocate internationally.
