Lead Design Engineer - Centurion Salary: R83 333 CTC (including benefits)

We are seeking a full-time, ECSA-registered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) to head our civil engineering design office in Centurion Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum requirements

• BEng / BSc (Eng) in Civil Engineering from an ECSA-accredited institution (or equivalent, ECSA-assessed qualification)

• Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa — current and in good standing. Registration must be maintained throughout employment

• Membership of SAICE (South African Institution of Civil Engineering) advantageous

• 8+ years post-qualification civil engineering experience

• 5+ years in a senior design or technical leadership role

• Proven track record delivering municipal infrastructure projects from concept to close-out

• Full lifecycle experience in roads, stormwater, water reticulation, and sewer networks

• Tender documentation and CIDB-registered contractor environment experience

• Strong working knowledge of SANS, COTO, TRH/TMH, and CSIR 'Red Book' codes

• Hydraulic and hydrological modelling skills for stormwater, water, and sewer networks

• Pavement and geometric design skills for municipal and provincial roads

• Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil3D / iDAS) and hydraulic packages

• Sound understanding of construction methods, costing, and contracts (GCC, FIDIC, NEC)

• Competence in MS Office and project/document management tools

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites

• Willingness to undergo reference, qualification, and ECSA registration verification
