A well-established automotive retail and distribution company based in Centurion is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead BI Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a senior leadership role within the Business Intelligence function, requiring both deep technical ability and strong people management skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive and maintain the company's data and BI strategy
  • Build, manage, and optimise Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Lead and mentor a team of BI Developers and Data Engineers
  • Translate data findings into business decisions for executive stakeholders
  • Manage data warehousing, data lake architecture, and database design
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and security compliance
  • Work closely with PMO, ExCo, and departmental heads on reporting needs

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Systems or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a BI development role ;
  • 2+ years in a lead capacit y
  • Advanced Power BI skills – non-negotiable
  • Strong MS SQL, NoSQL, Python / R
  • Data warehouse design and Azure cloud knowledge
  • API integration experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
