PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Assist with pathology and anatomy practical training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pathology postmortems
- Anatomy
- Clinic work if short staffed.
Minimum requirements
- A BSc degree in Animal Health NQF level 7.
- Registration with the South African Veterinary Council.
- A minimum of 1 year' experience as an Assistant in pathology and anatomy.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Theory knowledge of basic pathology on NQF level 8 and Anatomy on NQF level 5 and 6.
- Practical skills on pathology procedures like bloodsmear, brainsmear, sample taking.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- Punctuality
- Personal improvement plan
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy
REMUNERATION
- The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
