Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: Laboratory Key Account Manager Start Date: 2026-08-12 - 2026-09-11 Vacancy Type: Permanent SCI000111 Sectors: Science Sales and Marketing Food Industry Location: Western Cape , CPT - Southern Suburbs Salary: Brief: customer care|customer liaison|food technology|food testing|key account|microbiology|sales A laboratory that provides services to the food, beverage and water industry is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to join their team. The duties will include, but are not limited to: Maintaining current client service for all clients allocated to KAM. Visiting clients - this can involve long-distance driving. Taking of samples at client facilities. Build and maintain good working relationships with all clients and colleagues. Secure all existing clients, grow, and retain clients. Identify and resolve client concerns. Communicate new product development to existing clients. General administration of sales: packing, distribution and arranging collection of sampling kits, obtaining purchase orders from clients, obtaining sub-contracting /outsourcing quotes, scheduling client sampling dates and attending to general client queries. Achieve monthly sales target. Keep up to date with opposition and market trend. Maintaining ongoing market knowledge. Networking and gaining new client contracts. Detail: Key Requirements: Microbiology or related qualification with at least 2 years' experience working in a food laboratory. Previous sales experience will be beneficial. Prior experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Xero Accounting will be advantageous. Excellent computer skills. Strong administrative skills. Driver's license and own car essential.
