An established industrial operation in Mpumalanga is seeking an experienced Laboratory Analyst to monitor and report on raw materials, in-process and final products, as well as water and effluent parameters. The role will also ensure the correct modification of thick liquor in line with manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on raw materials, in-process products, final products, water and effluent parameters.
- Ensure modification of thick liquor in accordance with Processes of Manufacture (POMs).
- Monitor and report on chemical stock levels.
- Supervise and manage laboratory teams effectively.
- Assist with off-crop maintenance activities.
- Comply with production, laboratory and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and Quality Management Systems. Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Core Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Certificate in Laboratory Operations and Procedures.
- Minimum 1 year’s practical laboratory experience within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 6 months’ supervisory experience.
- Health and Safety experience.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Code EB driver's licence.
- Good English communication skills.
- Physically fit with no eyesight restrictions.
- Clear criminal record.
