About the YES Initiative The President launched the initiative in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labor department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa's youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months. Position: Junior Trainee Accountant Stipend: R5500 Location: Gauteng (Randburg) Detail: About the role The role offers practical exposure to a diverse client portfolio and opportunities to develop your technical and professional skills. By contributing to high-quality audit engagements, you will support the firm's commitment to delivering trusted assurance services in a collaborative and ethical environment. Responsibilities: Participate in audit engagements and executing the work plan Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility & providing support Communicating and updating senior team members on progress Preparing and attending meetings with target management teams Preparing reports and schedules, Interpreting financial statements Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients Select appropriate accounting frameworks and policies Accounts for the entity's transactions, including non-routine transactions Building strong internal working relationships across all services lines Contribute towards securing the best talent at the firm Act ethically and in accordance with the rules of professional conduct Minimum Requirements South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES programme before. Matric. BCom Accounting degree OR Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA).
