Junior Software Engineer (Java)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality Java applications using modern software engineering principles • Build scalable, robust, and maintainable solutions using object-oriented design and design patterns • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand business challenges and deliver effective solutions • Work closely with experienced Software Engineers and contribute to innovative development projects • Participate in application design, development, testing, and implementation activities • Support integrations across multiple technologies and platforms • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Relevant Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field OR a minimum of 3 years' commercial software development experience
• Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of Java development experience
• Exposure to software development within a commercial or team environment
• Experience working with databases and web technologies advantageous

• Technical Skills:

• Java programming and object-oriented development
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• SQL and relational database concepts
• Practical experience with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
• Exposure to Object Relational Mapping technologies such as Hibernate or EJB3
• Familiarity with Java servlet containers such as Tomcat, GlassFish, or Jetty
• Experience using Java IDEs such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, or NetBeans

• Advantageous:

• Exposure to version control systems and software development lifecycle processes
• Linux exposure (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, RHEL, or similar)
• Understanding of networking, Internet, and LAN/WAN technologies
