Junior Sales Representative (Capital Equipment)

Our client, a leading company in the heavy equipment sector is looking for a driven Junior Sales Representative to join their team in Johannesburg. This role focuses on developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales of capital equipment within the designated region.

This role will suit a confident, professional, and self-motivated individual with a strong sales focus and the ability to engage effectively with clients and decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business through cold calling, canvassing, and identifying prospective clients
• Identify key decision-makers and arrange meetings to establish new business relationships
• Maintain and develop existing client relationships and identify opportunities for additional business
• Understand client requirements and identify suitable products and services to meet their needs
• Prepare and present appropriate sales proposals based on client requirements
• Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to client approval and sign-off
• Coordinate credit vetting in accordance with company procedures
• Complete the required administration to finalise sales transactions
• Maintain accurate client and sales information on the company database

Requirements

• Matric
• Minimum 3 years' experience in sales or marketing
• Sales-related qualification will be advantageous
• Strong client relationship and business development skills
• Professional, confident, persuasive, and assertive
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Accurate and detail-oriented
• Positive, self-motivated, and target-driven
• High emotional intelligence
• Sociable with the ability to build relationships at various levels
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
