We are looking for a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor who wants to gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of property development, construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, providing an excellent foundation for a rewarding career in quantity surveying and construction project management.

Duties & Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with Regional Property Managers and service providers to ensure projects are planned, costed, managed, and delivered efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include

• Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction and maintenance projects

• Compiling Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

• Developing scopes of work and tender documentation

• Managing tender administration processes

• Evaluating quotations and contractor submissions

• Assisting with contractor appointment processes

• Tracking project costs and preparing project reports

• Assisting with maintenance planning and property-related initiatives

• Compiling final accounts and project close-out documentation

• Building strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

• BSc Quantity Surveying (4-year degree) or Honours Degree

• 1-2 years' relevant quantity surveying experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Experience using WinQS and DimensionX

Advantageous Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of building and construction practices

• Working knowledge of SANS 10400 regulations

• Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills

• Strong numerical and analytical ability

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Willingness to travel when required
