Key Responsibilities
- Assist with processing fits, PPS and BPS.
- Complete and maintain customer workbooks.
- Liaise with customer QA teams and factories regarding queries and quality requirements.
- Assist with planning and booking local customer audits.
- Review China team factory audit reports and flag any concerns before goods are shipped.
- Assist with ensuring local AQL inspections are completed once stock arrives.
- Compare China and local AQL results and escalate discrepancies where necessary.
- Check graded specifications against customer requirements.
- Assist with problem-solving between customers, factories and third-party distribution centres.
- Follow up on Asian inspection reports and ensure approvals are obtained on time.
- Assist the QA team with overriding Asian inspection reports where required.
- Apply basic technical knowledge to support garment quality and production requirements.
- Assist with compiling technical briefs.
- Assist with drawing up and revising garment size specifications.
- Assist with technical pattern diagrams and instructions detailing required changes.
- Provide technical input and support to pattern making.
- Assist with developing and revising technical manuals.
- Identify and assist with resolving fit issues relating to fabric, garment and pattern construction.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure customer quality and fit requirements are met.
- Gain exposure to garment QA processes and develop technical knowledge within the fashion industry.
Requirements
- 1–3 years' experience in Quality Assurance, garment manufacturing, clothing production or a similar environment.
- Experience servicing or working with primary retail customers is essential.
- A basic understanding of garment quality, fit, measurements and specifications.
- Knowledge of AQL inspections and garment quality standards would be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of garment construction, patterns and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with customers, factories and internal teams.
- Willingness to learn and develop within a junior QA/technical role.
- Relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Clothing Technology, Garment Technology or a related field would be advantageous.
