Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: Junior Project Administrator / Contract Administrator (PMO) Start Date: 2026-07-30 - 2026-08-29 Vacancy Type: Contractor PTA001795 Sectors: Mining and Quarrying Location: North West , Mooi Nooi Salary: (Market related) Brief: Junior Project Administrator / Contract Administrator (PMO) A leading mining operation based in Mooinooi, North West is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Project Administrator / Contract Administrator to join its Project Management Office (PMO). The successful candidate will provide administrative and contractual support to the Project Management and Quantity Surveying teams, assisting with contract administration, project cost control, measurement of work completed, payment certification, document control and project reporting across multiple mining projects. The role requires a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail, strong numerical and administrative skills, and the ability to work within a fast-paced project environment while ensuring the accurate management of project records and commercial documentation. Detail: Minimum Requirements: National Diploma or Certificate in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field will be advantageous. Minimum of 4+ years' experience in Project Administration, Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying Administration or Commercial Administration within the mining industry.co Sound understanding of construction contracts, project administration and commercial documentation. Exposure to quantity surveying principles, cost control, progress measurements and contract administration. Experience preparing payment certificates, progress claims, variation orders and supporting commercial documentation. Knowledge of project cost reporting, budget monitoring and cash flow reporting. Experience maintaining project documentation, contract registers and document control systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with ERP, accounting or project management systems will be advantageous. Excellent organisational, numerical and administrative skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Roles and Responsibilities: Contract & Commercial Administration Provide administrative support to the Quantity Surveying and Project Management teams. Maintain contract documentation, commercial records and project correspondence. Assist with the preparation and administration of subcontract agreements, contract amendments and variation orders. Maintain contract registers and ensure all commercial documentation is complete and up to date. Assist with contract compliance and document control throughout the project lifecycle. Quantity Surveying & Cost Control Assist with measuring completed work for progress payment purposes. Prepare supporting documentation for payment certificates and contractor payment claims. Assist with monthly cost reports, budget tracking and cash flow reporting. Monitor project costs and highlight commercial variances to the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor. Maintain cost trackers, variation registers and commercial reporting schedules. Assist with compiling final accounts and project close-out documentation. Project Administration Maintain project files, drawings, technical documentation and site records. Prepare project reports, meeting agendas and minutes. Monitor project schedules and follow up on outstanding actions. Coordinate project documentation between site teams, consultants and contractors. Ensure all project records are accurate, complete and audit-ready. Site Documentation & Compliance Maintain inspection records, quality documentation and project handover files. Ensure documentation complies with contractual, company and mining standards. Assist with compiling project progress reports and management presentations. Support project audits and document reviews. General Support Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal departments regarding project documentation and commercial matters. Provide general administrative support to the Project Management Office. Assist with procurement administration where required, including issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
