PrepQuip® seeking a dynamic, hands-on full-time Junior Process Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role will involve extensive fieldwork and operational exposure, including on-site pilot plant test work as well as office-based equipment preparation and maintenance responsibilities. It’s the perfect opportunity for a technically minded individual looking to develop practical skills and contribute meaningfully to real-world mining and mineral processing projects. Office related work
will focus on project management and ensuring that logistical aspects of projects and test work is completed in a timely manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
Site Duties
- Conduct pilot plant test work to gather operational data for plant designs.
- Plan and execute delivery, setup, and operation of pilot plant equipment.
- Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in-field.
- Manage scheduling and maintain effective communication with the client and mine personnel.
- Record field data and compile structured test work reports.
- Ensure compliance with site-specific health, safety, and environmental regulations
Office Based Duties
- Maintain and repair pilot equipment after site campaigns.
- Plan and implement upgrades or modifications to pilot plant units.
- Support preparation for upcoming test campaigns (logistics, readiness, improvements).
- Assist in technical documentation and internal process discussions
- Provide feedback to the process engineer(s) regarding observations made during test work and suggestions to order to avoid potential pitfalls and to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance of PrepQuip equipment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or metallurgical engineering.
Experience
At least 2 years’ experience in the mineral processing or mining industry, with proven experience in flotation processes.
