This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate developer who wants to build a career in web development while gaining exposure to a variety of client projects in a collaborative office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update existing WordPress websites.
- Perform WordPress core, theme and plugin updates.
- Troubleshoot website issues and resolve bugs.
- Assist with the development of new WordPress websites.
- Develop and customise WordPress functionality using PHP.
- Implement website designs using WordPress themes and page builders.
- Test websites across multiple browsers and devices.
- Assist with website backups, security checks and technical support.
- Escalate complex technical issues where required.
Requirements
- 1–2 years' experience working with WordPress websites.
- Basic to intermediate PHP development skills.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with MySQL databases.
- Experience working with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Advantageous
- Experience with Elementor, Divi or similar page builders.
- WooCommerce experience.
- Knowledge of cPanel or Plesk hosting environments.
- Git version control experience.
- Exposure to SEO best practices.
- Previous experience in a digital agency environment.
