A Johannesburg-based fashion company is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organized Trainee / Junior Fashion Designer to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior designer who wants hands-on experience across the full fashion product development process — from trends and design concepts through to samples, production and administration.

The Role
Working closely with our design and product team, you will assist with:
-Researching current and upcoming fashion trends, colors, prints and silhouettes
 - Creating mood boards, trend boards and design concepts
 - Assisting with garment designs and ranges for the commercial mass market
 - Preparing basic technical drawings, specifications and product information
 Assisting with fabric, trim and color selections
 Managing and tracking samples and approvals
 Liaising with suppliers and following up on outstanding information
 General administrative support to the design and product team
