Our client, a leading logistics company, based in Parow Industry, is seeking a young, driven and eager-to-learn Junior Operations Administrator to join their dynamic team. Full training will be provided on daily load planning, client updates, customer service, basic truck maintenance scheduling, and general operational administration. Weekly overtime will be required and compensated for. Detail: Requirements Grade 12 / Matric certificate. Fluent in Afrikaans and English, both written and spoken. Previous experience in administration, logistics, transport, or customer service will be advantageous. Own reliable transport is essential. Computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel. Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment. Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction. Reliable, punctual, and willing to take initiative. Willingness to work weekly overtime, which will be compensated. Duties Plan daily loads for container trucks, ensuring loads are scheduled efficiently and communicated to the relevant parties. Monitor daily transport operations and assist with ensuring that planned loads are executed efficiently. Provide regular client updates regarding deliveries, schedules, delays, and any operational changes. Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by responding to queries and ensuring that issues are followed up and resolved. Receive, capture, verify, and accurately file Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation. Assist with basic maintenance planning for trucks, including scheduling services and following up on maintenance requirements. Conduct and/or coordinate refrigerated cargo checks, particularly for fruit and other temperature-sensitive cargo, to ensure requirements are being met. Assist with monitoring refrigerated loads and escalating any concerns regarding cargo or temperature requirements. Update internal systems with accurate delivery and operational information. Communicate with drivers, customers, clients, and internal departments regarding daily operations. Maintain accurate electronic and physical records. Assist with invoicing by ensuring that supporting delivery documentation is complete and accurate. Assist with general operations and logistics administration. Complete daily tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Operations Manager or relevant manager. Provide general support to the operations team as required.
