Start free — we apply for you →Responsibilities • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for satellite communication systems • Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings • Perform structural (FEA), thermal, and vibration analysis for harsh environments (rocket launch and space) • Support environmental qualification testing (vibration, thermal vacuum cycling, etc.) • Analyse test data and produce detailed engineering reports • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to optimise producibility and cost • Contribute to design reviews and engineering best practices • Provide technical support to cross-functional teams (e.g. design and development, sales and marketing) • Support efforts to improve mechanical product quality standards, including working with suppliers to address quality issues Requirements
• BEng / BSc Eng / MEng / MSc in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Aerospace Engineering • 2+ years of relevant mechanical design experience • Proven experience in mechanical CAD modelling and engineering drawings • Strong background in structural (FEA) and/or thermal analysis, including experience with tools • MS Office suite Technical Skills
- CAD (e.g. SolidWorks / RhinoCAD / SolidEdge, etc.)
- FEA tools (e.g. ANSYS / Abaqus, etc.)
- Engineering analysis and problem-solving
- Design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
- High-quality report writing
