Duties & Responsibilities

• Junior Mechanic / Apprentice with 1–2 years' experience preferred

• Earthmoving equipment experience is essential

• Exposure to heavy machinery and equipment

• Strong interest in developing a career as a qualified Mechanic

• Willingness to learn and work under experienced artisans

• Must be medically fit to work in the required environment

• Must be reliable, hardworking and safety conscious

• Cleaning and preparing earthmoving machinery and equipment

• Passing tools and assisting mechanics during maintenance

• Assisting with breakdowns and repairs

• General mechanical assistance and workshop duties

• Supporting preventative maintenance activities

• Inspecting and preparing equipment for maintenance

• Learning to identify mechanical faults and equipment problems

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

• No criminal record

• Good attitude and willingness to get hands-on
