A well-established precision engineering and heavy industrial equipment company specialising in the design, manufacture, repair and refurbishment of grinding mills, girth gears, pinions, industrial gearboxes, rotary kilns, dryers and associated mining equipment and components requires a Junior Market Intelligence & Business Development Administrator.
The successful candidate will support management and the sales team by researching markets, identifying future mining and industrial opportunities, maintaining accurate customer and contact databases, conducting targeted email marketing and gathering commercial intelligence relating to forthcoming projects, shutdowns, expansions and maintenance activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, computer-literate and research-orientated junior candidate who enjoys investigating information, working with databases and turning information into potential business opportunities.
This position could be suitable for a recent graduate looking to enter the mining, engineering or industrial business environments
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, Business Administration and Management or similar
- Tertiary studies advantageous
- MS Excel (Advanced skills advantageous) | MS Word | MS Outlook | MS PowerPoint | LinkedIn Internet search engines | Online databases | CRM/Database systems
- Comfortable learning and using AI-assisted research and productivity tools under company guidelines to improve research efficiency, analyse information and prepare structured reports
- Personal attributes required: Research-oriented, highly computer literate, analytical, accurate and methodical, professional in written communication, commercially aware and eager to learn about mining and engineering
