Accounting & Financial Administration
- Maintaining and processing cashbooks
- Calculating VAT relating to the above entities
- Assisting with general accounting and financial administration
- Preparing statutory returns
- Reviewing and completing supplier credit applications and agreements
Production Planning & Costing
- Maintaining and updating product codes
- Assisting with weekly production planning
- Maintaining detailed spreadsheets relating to production cost estimates and product costing
- Updating and managing various production and costing schedules
- Preparing and maintaining ad hoc spreadsheets and reports
- Ensuring production and costing information is accurate, current and readily available for management purposes
Requirements
- Matric with relevant diploma or tertiary qualification
- Previous experience in an accounting environment
- Exposure to production planning, manufacturing, costing or production administration will be highly advantageous
- Strong numerical ability and an excellent understanding of figures
- Advanced spreadsheet / Excel skills are essential
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
- Residing in the Helderberg area or within reasonable travelling distance
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
- Highly organised and able to manage a variety of ongoing tasks and deadlines
- Able to work effectively under pressure
- Practical, methodical and comfortable working with large amounts of detailed information
- Able to work independently while also liaising closely with senior management
