Qualifications and experience required for the Junior Investment Administrator:
- ABCom DegreeinFinance, Accounting, Business AdministrationorInvestments
- 1–3 years of experiencein theasset management space,preferably within anoperational role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Understanding financial instruments like fixed income, hedge funds, private markets and bonds
- Advanced Excel skills VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, IF statements; macros
Key duties of the Junior Investment Administrator
- Accurately process and settle various investment transactions, including trades, transfers, and payments.
- Maintain and update records of all transactions and client accounts to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in resolving client inquiries related to transactions and account management with professionalism and efficiency.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on transaction activities, account statuses, and other relevant metrics.
- Administer direct properties, off-market investments e.g., reinsurance agreements, listed derivatives, cash reconciliations, and scrip clearances.
- Participate in change initiatives, projects, and system transitions by translating business requirements into workable processes and controls.
- Collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Actively participate in change initiatives and project delivery within the organisation.
- Continuously develop your expertise in professional, industry, and legislative knowledge areas.
