- To support the management of foundry production operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing of cast components while meeting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and scheduling daily production activities
- Monitor production output and ensure targets are met
- Supervise foundry staff including moulders, furnace operators, and general workers
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and inspect production processes
- Coordinate with pattern shop, melting, and finishing departments
- Assist in troubleshooting production and casting defects
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Monitor material usage and reduce waste/scrap
- Maintain production records and reports
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Minimum - Studies in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering will be advantageous
- 1–3 years experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment
- Basic understanding of casting processes and metallurgy
- Supervisory or leadership exposure advantageous
- Computer literacy MS Excel, production systems
- Willingness to work shifts and extended hours if required
- Own vehicle or reliable transport
