Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day accounting function and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Processing journals, invoices, and financial transactions.
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
  • Performing bank, balance sheet, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Supporting the administration and accounting of asset finance transactions.
  • Maintaining fixed asset registers and processing depreciation.
  • Preparing cash flow reports, financial forecasts, board reports, and audit schedules.
  • Assisting with VAT, statutory submissions, and audit requirements.
  • Monitoring financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve finance processes.
  • Maintaining accurate financial information within accounting and ERP systems.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, auditors, and funding partners.

Job Experience & Skills Required: Education:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting or finance role. • Experience within financial services, commercial lending, or asset finance will be highly advantageous. • Previous exposure to ERP systems and accounting software. • Candidates who are immediately available or can start on short notice will be given preference. Skills:

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Strong reconciliation and analytical abilities. • Working knowledge of IFRS. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Experience working with online banking platforms and accounting systems. • Knowledge of VAT and other South African statutory requirements.
