The successful candidate will support a broad range of finance functions, including financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and operational finance tasks. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong interest in finance who is looking to build a well-rounded foundation in a dynamic business environment. 
 Key Responsibilities: 
 
 • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, management accounts, and performance analysis.
 • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
 • Monitor financial markets, economic trends, and key business metrics.
 • Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
 • Perform financial reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
 • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
 • Collaborate with various departments (operations, sales, procurement, etc.) on finance-related matters.
 • Prepare presentations and financial summaries for management and stakeholders.
 • Stay updated on financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
 
 Minimum Requirements: 
 
 • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
 • Basic understanding of financial statements, markets, and economic principles.
 • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
 • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
 • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
 
 Preferred Requirements: 
 
 • Internship or prior experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
 • Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., Pastel, SAP, Xero, or similar).
 • Knowledge of financial modelling and data analysis tools.
 • Understanding of South African financial regulations and reporting standards (advantageous for local applicants).
