Junior Field Application Engineer (FAE)

Introduction

We are seeking a presentable candidate as a Junior Field Application Engineer to work within the Business Development team to support technical solutions and successfully implement them for our customers as well as providing level 4 support, product and solution training, testing and implementing proof of concepts and assisting with all new products and solutions. The successful candidate will be the link between business development, engineering, the customer and support.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties would include, but not be limited to

• Provide internal support to colleagues with the investigation of software, hardware, networking and system related problems on existing and new products or solutions

• Testing new products and solutions, including Hardware, Networking, Software and Firmware

• Fault finding problems on returned products and documenting the test results

• Providing level 4 support to clients as required

• Providing direct client support on functional software, hardware operations and networking solutions

• Provide and assisting with product integration and implementation in-field as required

• Creating and assisting with the composition of Technical Documentation

• Providing training and handover on new products and solutions

• Being on stand-by afterhours for escalated support queries

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Engineering\Information Technology Degree or Diploma

• Solid experience and understanding of LAN’s and WAN’s

• Minimum 3 years relevant working experiencing

• Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport

Desirable Skills

• Linux experience

• MCSE certification

• CCNA

• Remote support tools

• Software testing methodologies

• UniFi Experience (UEWA Certified beneficial)
