IMAT Manufacturing & Distribution is looking for a motivated and technically minded Junior Electronic Engineer to join our team on a 3-month temporary contract .
Duties & Responsibilities
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
Must live in the Durbanville, Western Cape area
Must have practical knowledge or experience with ESP32
Own transport required
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate should have
A qualification in Electronic Engineering (must have)
Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
Basic embedded programming and electronics knowledge
A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
Basic computer skills
Own reliable transport
A willingness to work with electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment
ESP32 Experience
Practical knowledge or experience with ESP32 is a must.
Experience with ESP32 can come from
Personal projects
College/university projects
Arduino/ESP32 projects
Hobby electronics
ESP32 EXPERIENCE – ESSENTIAL
Candidates MUST have practical knowledge or experience with ESP32.
Experience with the following will be advantageous
Arduino IDE / PlatformIO
C/C++ programming
GPIO and digital/analogue inputs & outputs
Sensors and actuators
Relays
Serial communication
Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
Basic PCB/electronic prototyping
Troubleshooting electronic circuits
Desired Experience & Qualification
Electrical Engineering qualification ( must have )
Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
Basic embedded programming and electronics knowledge
Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronics studies/experience are advantageous
A formal engineering degree is NOT required.
