- Receive, register, issue and distribute engineering and project documentation
- Maintain accurate document and drawing registers
- Assist with drawing and document revision control
- Prepare and process document transmittals
- Upload, file and retrieve documentation using electronic document management systems
- Assist with vendor and supplier documentation
- Follow up on outstanding documents and information
- Help maintain accurate and organised project records
- Assist with as-built, handover and project close-out documentation
- Provide document control and administrative support to engineering and project teams
What Are We Looking For? You do not need to have formally studied Document Control . We are more interested in someone who has gained some exposure to the function in the workplace and would now like to develop further in this field. Ideally, you will have:
- Approximately 13 years general working experience , with some exposure to document control, project administration, technical administration or engineering administration
- An understanding of the importance of document numbering, filing, revision control and accurate record keeping
- Exposure to documents such as drawings, registers, transmittals, technical documentation or project correspondence
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and administrative ability
- The discipline to follow established procedures and systems
- A willingness to learn and develop within a structured engineering project environment
Exposure That Would Be Advantageous Any previous experience with the following would be beneficial, but you are not expected to know everything from day one :
- Aconex, SharePoint, SAP DMS or another electronic document management system
- Engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Document registers and transmittals
- Engineering, EPCM, construction, mining or industrial projects
- ISO 9001 or formal quality/document control procedures
