Junior DevOps Engineer - Roodepoort - R360K PA

Introduction

Are you passionate about Linux, automation, and modern infrastructure? We’re looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team and help support scalable, reliable, and automated systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

•1–2 years’ experience in Linux support, infrastructure, or a DevOps-related role

• Basic Linux administration skills

• Understanding of networking fundamentals

• Familiarity with Git and version control

• Exposure to scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)

• Understanding of CI/CD concepts

Advantageous Skills

• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes

• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins

• Cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Terraform or Ansible knowledge

• Basic understanding of monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & Automation

• Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• Support automated deployments and infrastructure processes

• Write and maintain automation scripts

• Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
