The Junior Azure Cloud Engineer supports the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of cloud-based infrastructure and services in a Microsoft Azure environment. The role suits someone with practical Azure exposure who wants to develop further in cloud infrastructure and DevOps, and requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Duties

  • Deploy, maintain, and support Azure infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, Azure SQL, and App Services
  • Monitor platform health and performance using Azure Monitor and related tooling
  • Investigate application and system logs to identify and resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot problems across cloud environments, Linux and Windows systems, and core networking components such as DNS, VPN, virtual networks, and subnets
  • Apply basic scripting and automation with Azure CLI, Bash, and PowerShell to support day-to-day operations
  • Follow security fundamentals when configuring and supporting Azure resources

Requirements • Minimum of three years of relevant experience

  • Practical exposure to Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, Azure SQL, App Services, and Azure Monitor
  • Experience investigating application and system logs
  • Experience working with Linux and Windows
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts, including DNS, VPN, virtual networks, and subnets
  • Basic scripting or automation with Azure CLI, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience troubleshooting cloud environments
  • Understanding of security fundamentals
  • Advantageous: Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, Terraform, Python, Ansible, Azure Functions, monitoring and logging tools, or AZ-104 certification
