Company based in the West Rand, is looking for a Junior Developer to join their team. An intern who has good foundation in, or exposure to, some of the skills below, along with a willingness and ability to learn would also be considered.
Core Responsibilities
- Translate Figma designs, wireframes, and design systems into responsive web interfaces.
- Build clean, reusable components and page layouts using Tailwind CSS and React/Next.js.
- Handle front-end interactivity, form validation, animations, and UI transitions.
- Ensure websites work well across browsers and devices, with a focus on performance.
- Work closely with design files and the Head Developer to implement designs and functionality correctly.
Key Skills to Look For
- Good understanding of CSS, responsive layouts, spacing, and typography.
- Some experience working with Figma and translating designs into web pages.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS.
- Understanding of JavaScript, React, JSX, reusable components, and basic React hooks.
- Basic TypeScript knowledge would be beneficial.
- Some exposure to Next.js, including the App Router, layouts, pages, and Client/Server Components.
- Basic understanding of semantic HTML and SEO best practices.
- Comfortable with Git basics such as branches, commits, and pull requests.
