They are seeking a driven and ambitious Junior Credit Analyst to join their high-performing Credit Team.

Duties & Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Analyse complex financial and credit data to support informed credit decisions.

• Assess customer financial information, including income statements and balance sheets.

• Identify trends, anomalies, potential fraud risks and concerns around financial health.

• Support the Credit Team with assessing applications and making sound credit decisions.

• Work with large datasets and ensure a high level of accuracy in all analysis.

• Use analytical and CRM systems to process and interpret customer information.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve credit, application and account-management processes.

• Develop a strong understanding of different businesses, industries and commercial models.

• Deliver accurate, insightful analysis in a fast-paced and high-performance environment.

Desired Experience & Qualification

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years' experience in Credit Analysis, Management Consulting, Auditing, Financial Analysis or a similarly analytical environment.

• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related commercial field.

• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUPs, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, IF statements and What-If Analysis.

• The ability to analyse and interpret income statements and balance sheets.

• Strong financial acumen and excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns, trends and risk indicators.

• Strong commercial awareness and an interest in understanding how businesses operate.

• A proactive mindset with the confidence to question numbers and investigate anything that does not make sense.

• A genuine appetite to learn, develop and progress quickly.

• Passion for supporting the growth of South African SMEs.
